Information+ 2027 invites artists, designers, researchers, practitioners, and contributors from diverse backgrounds to submit works for an exhibition at Politecnico di Milano during the conference week. We welcome 2D artworks, digital artworks, 3D artworks, and performances, and a wide range of perspectives, approaches, and topics, particularly from those who are traditionally underrepresented in data visualization and related fields.
This edition proposes a thematic lens around the concept of “better”: What does “better” mean to you? Who decides it and for whom? The theme is a suggestion, not a requirement.

How to submit

Submit your proposal by 22 November 2026, 23:59 (Anywhere on Earth) using the Submit New Abstract button:
1. Upload your two-page PDF in the attachment field.
2. Upload any additional material in the attachment field.
3. Write a brief description of your artwork in the summary field.
4. Add 3 to 5 keywords to describe your artwork.
5. Select the closest match from the available artwork formats.
6. To add co-authors, search existing Indico usernames or add them manually.

You will need an account on this Indico instance to submit.

What to include in the PDF

  • Title of the work
  • Year
  • Medium and format (one of the formats in the call, or the closest match)
  • Dimensions, or duration for videos, performances, and sonifications
  • Description of the work, including: the theme of the work; its relationship with information visualization; its coherence with the exhibition theme, if applicable; how it would be integrated into the exhibition space; how it would be integrated into the conference website
  • Technical requirements
  • A diagram of the artwork installed in an exhibition space

Additional materials (such as links to web pages, images, videos, or audio files) are welcome. Proposals will be reviewed by the Exhibition Chairs to identify potential desk rejects, then enter a single-blind review process in consultation with the conference’s organizing committee.

Important dates

  • Submission deadline: 22 November 2026, 23:59 AoE
  • Notification of acceptance: 8–12 February 2027
  • Confirmation of participation: 15 February 2027, 23:59 AoE
